Haiti Earthquake- NOTE CHANGE BELOW IN RED
Presbyterian Disaster Assistance (PDA) has established resources to help earthquakes victims from the Haiti tragedy. **We encourage anyone interested in giving assistance to Haiti victims to do it through our denominational channels. Have congregations donate via a check made directly to the church, earmarked for the Haiti fund; and then have churches send the collected funds to Salem Presbytery on your benevolence forms (noted for One Great Hour of Sharing, special designated giving account DR000064 – Haiti)**
You may still donate directly to the PDA, however keep in mind that this will generate a lot of extra paperwork for them when their resources could be used elsewhere at this critical time. For more information click here for Haiti's Situation Report and How to Help. Prospective volunteers are encouraged to contact PDA directly, but first read "What Volunteers Need to Know" from the PDA website.
The Board of Pensions will undergo many changes effective January 1, 2010, including out-of-pocket costs, new health managment provider and more. How will it affect you? Click here to find out.
